Hi,
How to get pst from exchange server 2007 & 2010.
Regards
Anil
We are using windows server 2008 Server R2. We installed IIS and the SMTP relay component. It is setup to relay mail to our exchange 2010 CAS server. All internal mail is relaying properly on this server to the exchange 2010 CAS server to internal email addresses. When someone tries to send to a recipient outside the organization such as to domain name hotmail.com, gmail.com microsoft .com, it does not relay the message. When I check the logs it looks like it does not even relay the external email address to the cas server.
The error message we get is below. Please assist in what is wrong.
Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
gogear22@hotmail.com
Your message wasn't delivered due to a permission or security issue. It may have been rejected by a moderator, the address may only accept e-mail from certain senders, or another restriction may be preventing delivery.

I have a single multi-role Exchange 2013 server and it would appear that it's not properly maintaining the temp files for the transport service. I still have all those folder locations at their default and the problem folder is c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\data\Temp
I never had a problem with this in Exchange 2007 but I am used to running a PowerShell script nightly to clean up the IIS log files. Do I need to do something similar for this temp folder? Is there a setting I can adjust so that Exchange will limit the size of this folder itself? If I stop the transport service and delete the files here will I lose anything?
Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Hello we are migrating to exchange 2013 from an iMail server. we want to keep our list server up and running as exchange doesn't handle lists very well. How do we setup a forward on an nonexistent email address on the same domain name to go to our old imail server?
Here is a diagram of what we are wanting:
ISP -> Firewall -> Exchange 2013 -> nonexistent email -> iMail Server
MCITP Exchange 2010 | MCTS Exchange 2007 | MCITP Lync Server 2010 | MCTS Windows 2008 | MCSE 2003
I was hoping to set up some server-side rules to keep a shared mailbox clean. The goal was to have some rules to move incoming messages to specific folders based off words in the subject. I opened the shared mailbox in OWA and found the action of moving the message to a folder was not available. At first I figured that's an action that's only available in a client-side rule. However, I then found that in my user mailbox that action is available server-side. It would appear there are a number of other action that are available server side to user but not shared mailboxes.
Anybody else notice this? Is this a bug?
Single Exchange 2013 SP1 server - nothing fancy.
Hello,
I currently have 3 Exchange servers setup in Co-Existence (EX2010, EX2013A, EX2013B). The 2010 Server is still the public facing server.
I had the two 2013 servers setup in a DAG which I could not get to work properly (Mailflow issues), so I removed it in hopes of returning the servers to standalone status.
The DAG appears to be gone. But in the Queue Viewer on EX2013A I see a Shadow Redundancy Folder with a Next Hop Domain of 2013B with 400 messages in the queue and counting. There are lots of healthmailbox messages from before I removed the DAG.
The Queue Viewer on EX2013B I see a Shadow Redundancy Folder with a Next Hop Domain of 2013A with 600 messages in the queue and counting.
Mailflow seems to work fine from all directions
Right now there are just a few test mailboxes on the 2013 servers, I want to make sure the environment is safe before migrating production mailboxes.
Thoughts?
When you send out an unencrypted, digitally signed message or a message with your public key attached (so you can send encrypted messages to them in the future), can't that message be intercepted and then the "hacker" would then have access to read any of your future encrypted emails they intercepted in the future?
When you send an encrypted email, if the recipient replies without actively selecting options to encrypt their reply, is your previously encrypted content in the body of the message now sent back to you over the Internet in clear text?
If you send an encrypted message to someone and the recipient has an Outlook rule that forwards messages to another account (gmail etc.), is the message still protected with encryption when their Outlook rule forwards the message?
I created an internal only receive connector using only the anonymous permission this worked but resolution did not. I found to get resolution I need to enable externally secured this required exchange server permission. it will now resolve but is no longer internal only. when I look at ad permission for anonymous send to any recipient is not checked.
What do I need to set to have internal only receive connector that will resolve internal names?
Hello,
I am trying to create a custom DSN to send a NDR alerting the internal sender that his/her mail has been rejected due to profanity. I created a DSN 5.2.9 with the message "Your message appears to contain profanity or unprofessional language - please correct before re-sending" However, when i try to apply the DSN to the rule I get "The value that you entered cannot be saved because it contains the character "5". To save this, you must first configure a custom delivery status notification.
What am I missing that would cause the server not to recognize that there is a custom DSN? Note that from powershell, the server returns the correct message when I enter Get-SystemMessage.

COMMENTAIRES : Connexion à PRDMBX-02.UM6P.local.Hi,
I have configured a Relay Receive Connector for an application and I set the Recipient limit for it, 50 recipients.
Unfortunately this limit is not being respected, the application can send emails to about 70 recipients without block the message.
I have a Receive Connector for my users and it is working well.
My question is, is any kind of difference when a relay receive connector is configured or it is a bug?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.
Luiz
We have an Exchange 2013 server which was working fine, but after a failed CU2 upgrade, we rolled back to the restore and since then mail isn't flowing. All emails go into drafts.
We can telnet to port 25 locally on the server, but not from anywhere else, the connection is cut remotely.
There is no AV, nor any firewalls in the way. Servers in the same subnet are unable to connect on port 25...but can connect on port 80 for example, or 2525.
We've restored from various backups...all the same. Running out of ideas...
All thoughts very welcome.
When the AddressBookPolicyRoutingEnabled attribute is enabled by running Set-TransportConfig -AddressBookPolicyRoutingEnabled $True, I am having an issue with delivery failures for mailboxes that are hidden from the address book. I receive the following undeliverable message:
'532 5.3.2 STOREDRV.Deliver; Missing or bad StoreDriver MDB properties'
If I disable the AddressBookPolicyRoutingEnabled attribute by running Set-TransportConfig -AddressBookPolicyRoutingEnabled $False then emails are successfully delivered to the mailbox that is hidden from the address list.
I followed the installation instructions here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj907308(v=exchg.150).aspx
Below is the status of the ABP Routing Agent on my Hub Transport/Mailbox server:
Enabled: True
Priority: 5
TransportAgentFactory: Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Agent.AddressBookPolicyRoutingAgent.AddressBookPolicyRoutingAgentFactory
AssemblyPath: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\agents\AddressBookPolicyRoutingAgent\Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Agent.AddressBookPolicyRoutingAgent.dll
Identity: ABP Routing Agent
IsValid: True
ObjectState: New
Has anyone else run into this issue yet?
Hi
We are getting below error on few of CAS servers when we try to upgrade to Exchange 2010 SP3 while uninstalling the IU for SP2
"Setup wizard for update rollup6 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (KB2746164) ended prematurely because of an error.Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, Please run the installation again"
We checked UAC its disabled for the server.
Tried running with run as administrator in the source patch file as well still did not help
Tried opening the source file as copy as path in command prompt and running them as well still it did not help
We tried manually uninstalling the Interim Update but still we get the same above error
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello There,
I’m going to proceed with migration form exchange 2007 to 2013 but just encounter problem.
I can telnet port 25 form new Exchange 2013 server but cannot telnet it form any other computer within LAN.
We have notice it when I was changing SMTP banner to match RevDNS. If I change Receive Connector to role Hub Transport it is responding on telnet 25 from other servers. But correct is to set it up as Frontend Transport.
There is no AV and Friewall is disable. I can telnet prots form hubtransport role receive connectors.
Fresh installation and server is fully updated. Please help.

Hello,
we have set forwarding from Public Folder to internal user and selected to forward to both addresses but the mail is only delivered to users mailbox, not to PF, the same is with transport rule, when I select add recipient. Exchange is 2013 SP1 without any other updates. Thank you.

Hello,
our Exchange acts strange when it comes to attachments. The behavior seems to be random. Sometimes in OWA and Outlook the attachment icon is not visible but the attchment is in fact there because when this mesage is forwarded it appears again and in Exchange message has the right size. One of the attachments is PDF si it has nothing to do with DAT files which was my first suggestion. Can anyone help? Thank you.
