Emails rejected by Exchange 2013 CU22

Hi All,

My setup os E2013 CU22. The receive connector is rejecting only few emails from proof point cloud provider. The error i see is 

"Ignored X-OriginatorOrg header value 'parentsvoice.org.au' because session capabilities do not allow it". The email and connection is the rejected with error message "Message or connection acked with status Fail and response 451 4.4.0 SMTPSEND.SendingError; Error while sending message".

How to set time period to email attachment view for client.

how to set time period to email attachment view to client.

for Example : i want send email for client with attachment, that attachment must be view time 2hr.then automatically that file delete or client cant access the file.please can anyone suggest to me best solution to do that.

Routing internal domain email to an external send connector

We are looking at a situation where we want users in two separate organizations to use the same primary SMTP domain. The Exchange servers (2013 and 2016) are on-prem for both.

The implicit send connector for internal mail, as I understand it, would pick up all email sent to addresses on our internal domain and try to deliver it internally, except that in this case users in the other organization will not have a mailbox in our environment. Instead, we want emails send from one environment to the other to be sent through an external send connector rather than the internal, as external routing will know what to do with them.

Any recommendations on how we could set up a rule/connector/etc to accomplish this? We could identify the list of email addresses that would apply to the other organization and not the local one.

Exchange 2013 Need Set-TransportRule Syntax to create Mailflow Rules - with Sender Specific Property "SenderName" to include "TextValue"

Hi,

I am trying to create an Exchange Mailflow Rule with condition:

"Sender is located" -> Outside the Organization

and

The Sender -> Has specific properties including any of these words (The sender's specific properties including any of these words)

However, seems like a bug in EAC - when I click on "Select properties and words" , it does pop up a list of properties in a window (https://mailserver/ecp/RulesEditor/EditTransportRule.aspx?pwmcid=3&ReturnObjectType=1&id=cb650f61-eaf3-46bf-8de5-66138d398f86) - But I am unable to add and save the property.

The property I need to filter on is "DisplayName" if it contains the "Value" I input.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THE SET-TransportRule SYNTAX so I can create this rule via EMS ?

Good Morning,

Have a company that is trying to blast out  infomation to a client via email. Mail is getting held up with an error:

5.7.1 Message rejected as spam by Content Filtering.

Anyone know where this is getting caught on the mail server? I am looking in the EAC and the malware filter is set to Lowest. Client has Mimecast, but they are saying it is being blocked by the server and not them.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

When sending email with attachments more than 5MB the delivery to the recipient is delayed for more than 10 hours. I am sending a test email to gmail account. 

Receiving emails also are delayed for 6-8 hours, specially with attachments of 6mb. 

Pls. help.

examp: domain xzy.com and sender : abc@xzy.com but, abcis not my exchange mailbox user.

guide me how can I send it or any configuration.

on-prem meeting rooms no longer accepting meetings from office 365 users, and not sending meeting accpetance email to user

Hello, 

We have Exchange 2013 on-prem in full hybrid mode with Exchange online, leveraging Centralized Mailflow. We also leverage AAD Connect to sync identities from on-prem AD to Office 365. Today, all of a sudden, users migrated to Office 365 are no longer able to book meetings against on-prem meeting rooms. all meeting rooms are still located in on-premise. When user sends a meeting invite to the meeting room, they do not receive an acceptance email from the meeting room, and the meeting does not appear on the meeting room calendar. I have re-ran the Hybrid config wizard, and also ran an initial sync in AAD connect...no luck.

I've verified that the value -AutomateProcessing is set to AutoAccept on these meeting rooms, and i've also tested setting the value: ProcessExternalMeetingMessages to True, but still no luck

I logged into the meeting room mailbox via OWA, and see meeting requests in the rooms inbox, message that displays is: “Your calendar couldn’t be checked to see whether this event conflicts with other events”

I've also followed this article, and verified all is correct in the calendar settings of the meeting room mailbox:

From on-prem user to on-prem meeting room...all functions as expected. Please advise on how this can be resolved... issue seems to be with the hybrid side. (hybrid mailflow works fine, as well as free/busy across the hybrid)

I also noticed, when creating meeting invites from office 365, the Room List no longer shows available meeting rooms. seems to be related to above issue.

migration Lotus Notes to Exchange, how to migrate confidential emails (in LN encrypted)

Hi,

we're investigating a migration of Lotus Notes to Exchange. One issue is the migration of encrypted mail. How to keep them confidential in Exchange?

We have users like a secretary that has read/write access to a mailbox of a manager. If another user mails the manager with confidential information, he encrypts it in LN before sending it, so only the mailbox owner can open the message. Is this possible in Exchange 2013 and in Exchange online? Heard that you can set things via IRM, but that with Outlook web access the secretary can set the manager's mailbox as primary and than will be able to open the confidential email....

450 4.7.1 error client host rejected: cannot find your hostname

Hi,

I know that there a lot of topics on this matter but i couldn't find the answer to my question.

The error mentioned shows up send to one domain at this moment. Emails send from that domain can be received by our domain.

As far as i can test my part it all seams to be ok. PTR is available (otherwise a lot of other domain would be returning a similar error)

My guess is that their DNS is not updated but I want to gather some evidence and send it to them. If possible also send a solution for them as well.

While my part is pretty much working my users will complain to me that they receive this error and they don’t want to hear that I can’t do anything and the other party should do some work.

Also because mails from their side are arriving at our side they don’t see the problem.

I hope you guys can help me out.

Hi, we are using Exchange 2016 and started getting this error:

Already checked permissions, Network Service has this set on Data\Diagnostics folder:



As for the files which give 0x000000005 error - I don't see their ACL due to lack of permissions (can only change owner), every file has guid-like name (something like "326ace4f-20f3-cb47-b35d-21e3888d0de").

I would be grateful for any help.

How to Track the Original Location of an Email via its IP Address

I want to track one message was send from one user to another one  in the same domain and organization 

 I want to get the sender destination IP address(internal IP) and make sure that the user is using his private PC

Unable to send emails to internet after Exchange CU15 upgrade

We recently upgraded from Exchange 2013 CU6 to CU15. After upgrade users are unable to send emails to internet. They are able to receive emails. Internal mail flow is working fine. We are getting the following errors in event viewer

Routing failed to select any Mailbox servers to proxy a mail item to in routing tables with timestamp 1/17/2017 12:17:05 AM. Transport process role: FrontEnd. Recipient databases: .

  • Verified all Server Component State is active. 2 components ForwardSyncDaemon & ProvisioningRps were inactive. Set them to active.
  • Created a new Send Connector but still we were getting the same events.
  • Verified in ADSIEDIT and made sure that there are no stale entries of any Exchange server.
  • Created Host file entry for FQDN and NetBIOS name  of Exchange server, DCs and their respective IPs.
  • Verified AD replication was healthy.
  • Increased Protocol logs on Send connector and found that logs were not generated.
  • Performed message tracking and found the error. "Stage:CommitMailItem, SmtpResponse:441 4.4.1 Error encountered while communicating with primary target IP address: "Failed to connect. Winsock error code: 10061, Win32 error code: 10061."" Attempted failover to alternate host, but that did not succeed. Either there are no alternate hosts, or delivery failed to all alternate hosts. The last endpoint attempted was 192.168.46.1:2525" 

I was not able to find any helpful articles to fix the issue. Please advice.

Dear All kindly help me out. i m using Microsoft Exchange 2010. Due to some configuration i am facing that issue.

I am unable to send email from other domains. My exchange server reject that email with this message.

Remote Server returned '530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated'

if i check the option of anonymous in receive connector then it will also not asking authentication from my domain users.

therefore i unchecked the anonymous option. But now i am unable to get emails from other domains.

Kindly give me any solution i will be very thankful.

I'm getting the dreaded "

451 4.7.0 Temporary server error. Please try again later. PRX2

" error when receiving SMTP mail.

does anyone know exactly what causes this error? there are many references to it on the web, but nobody seems to know exactly what causes it. maybe it's something to do with DNS?

can someone please ask someone on the exchange team to help document this?

Hi Everyone, 

I'm new here and i've been searching for a while now and i'm not getting any answers from google. 

So the problem is, we cannot send an e-mail to a specific e-mail domain. We are getting this error (see below). We used to send e-mail to this client's address. It was working last week and suddenly this happened. We are using on prem exchange13. I checked the send connectors and I can see that we have 2 enabled connectors and using smart host to route outbound e-mails to mimecast. I hope someone can help me out.

Forward "Delivery Reports" mail to another mailbox

Hi,

I would like to redirect, for one mailbox, some "Delivery Reports" email to another mailbox (only the email that contains "delivered" word in the subject).

I create a rule (in Outlook, in OWA, in ECP...) but the rule works only for the old messages, for new messages the rule doesn't works. I think because the "Delivery Reports" are different object (report) not a real mail object.

Ideas?

Ho to prevent spam from authenticated users?

Hi guys, I'm having some issues lately with users getting their smartphones infected anse sending a lot of spam to external addresses via our exchange system. This leads to blacklisting and mass hysteria... Our antispam system (fortimail) doesn't have a subsmission rate control and MS applies the native one only to SMTP submission it seems.

What do you do to prevent that kind of trouble? I cannot control user's devices, we let them use their own.

PS

Lowering the recipient rate could help but could backfire (prevent legit emails) while spam softwares could easily send more mails with less recipients to avoid being blocked.
