Hello all,
So here is the situation. I am trying to configure Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2012 for email comms over the internet. Sending and receiving email locally works great.
Sending and receiving over the net...not great at all. I have, supposedly, configured a send connector that is using the MX record that is associated with my domain: mail.itnasa.com from DynDNs. I have the MX record also set up as mail.itnasa.com and from what I understand, the receive connectors already have a default receiving profile that automatically filters to the different accounts in my AD? Not too sure on that one, but the technet site was a little vague...
Furthermore, using the tools and MXlookup, the SMTP service reports failed to connect. So for sending, I am getting some things that could be the problem...but I thought I would at least be receiving...
In any case, I think the issue may be that Comcast blocks port 25. I can't verify for sure if its that or not because I haven't found one document that demonstrates how to change that default port setting in Exchange...
I think I have exhausted all options except this one...any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone...
